Recovery Center for Male Survivors of Sex Trafficking
At the beginning of lockdown, I was seeing more and more stories about sex trafficking. I was so shocked to find out that such a horrific problem was not only happening globally but also right here in our country. And this problem doesn’t only affect women like it is commonly shown. This is an issue that can plague anyone of any age and children are no exclusion to this. As a designer, I lead with empathy in all my projects. My main focus for this particular project was making a facility specifically for the whole half of survivors that aren’t getting the care they should be. Mental health is such an important thing and I feel that everyone should have access to bettering themselves.
