Interior + Spatial Design

Capital Region Eye Care
I was inspired to design this facility by my family, as a genetic eye disease that often causes vision loss afflicts some of my family members and possibly even future ones, including myself. I’ve witnessed their struggles with this disease and how many different facilities and doctors they visit for treatment to maintain their eyesight. I wanted to design a facility that would much more easily cater to their needs as well as others who are visually impaired by creating a space that would provide anything they may need in one building that would be easy to navigate. This space is more than a doctor’s office; it is a place to strengthen relationships, improve confidence, and increase independence. My goal as an interior designer is not to create beautiful spaces, but to create beautiful, impactful spaces that are not only functional, but will also serve a purpose to improve our lives as individuals and as communities.
