Russell Sage Wellness Center
The inspiration of my capstone project came from my own personal experience living on a college campus and dealing with mental health struggles. There wasn’t a place on a college campus that provided all services where I felt comfortable. Throughout my life and especially in college I have struggled with anxiety, OCD, depression and an eating disorder. No student should ever have to battle this alone. Students should feel comfortable and safe seeking help in a welcoming environment that is easily accessible on campus. My goal for this project was to create a building where all services are hubbed in one location and would benefit all students, ease anxiety, and assist with their overall well-being.

As a designer I believe that design is storytelling that implements the elements and principles of design, creating unique environments that influence the way people live, work and heal. My design philosophy has led me through creating the Russell Sage Wellness Center.
