Vernacular 50 Release

Join us on Wednesday April 24 for a preview release of Vernacular 50, the semi-centennial anniversary publication of the student-run art, design, and creative writing publication.

Hors d’ oeuvres and wine will be served throughout the evening. Vernacular 50 will be available for purchase at a special alumni rate (payable by cash or check only).

Sage ISD students visit Albany Tile

Sage Interior and Spatial design students visited Albany Tile on Feb 11th. Owner Sarah Carpenter, ASID, Sage alum and former adjunct, hosted the group and provided information on tile (types, installation, trends etc).

ISD Students Visit the Big Apple

On October 24, our Interior + Spatial Design students enjoy their trip to NYC.  First they visited the Paul Rudolph exhibit at the Modulightor showroom, then to the D&D building to tour the Kravet showroom, and finally Interior Designer Nina Rofaro Lomeo gave them a tour and talk at her firm Custom Planned Interiors and Furniture.

On October 3, 2018, ISD students and faculty visited Five Rivers Environmental Education Center with Envision Architects, GPI, and AIA ENY for a presentation and tour of the LEED Platinum visitors center.

Interior Design Students Attend NY11+

Senior students in the Interior Design Program attended New York Eleven Plus (NY11+) in New York City on April 12th. The students displayed work from their Capstone studio alongside work by other top interior design programs in New York State. NY11+ is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting public awareness of the interior design profession. It aims to emphasize the complexity and responsibility of the profession. Interior Design Students Participate in Capital Region CANstruction

The ASID Student Chapter of Sage's Interior Design Program participated for the second year in CANstruction at the New York State Museum. Students spent months fundraising and designing their CANstruction to fit this year's theme of "Play". The student group designed and built elements of the board game Mousetrap and donated all canned food items to the Food Pantries for the Capital District. Interior Design Student Wins NKBA Award

Congratulations to Diana Ayala and Caitlyn Coon, senior Interior Design students, who were both nominated for NKBA Chapter Student Design competition awards. This is the fourth year that Sage Interior Design students have been nominated for NKBA Chapter awards. Diana took home the first place award for Best Student Design/Rendering.
