Who I am as a designer is someone who likes to focus on the client’s wants and needs while following ADA compliance. I like to also focus on the person’s individuality by bringing that into their designed space. My main focus while following ADA compliance is aging in place, while many spaces may no longer be suitable for the older generation, I like to assist them in making their space more accessible to move around in. My statement is “To bring your personality into our design to design a space for you.” Or “To bring the individual’s personality into a designed space for them.”
Akari Hotel

This was a semester-long group project completed for Capstone I. The goal of this project was to take an element of Japanese culture and create a modern boutique hotel inspired by that element. The hotel was to be located within the United States but revolve around authentic Japanese culture, not clichés. Typically completed as a co-lab with Graphic + Media Design, this project involved creating a brand identity, giving us the opportunity to design our own logo.
