As an interior and spatial designer, I strive to understand each client’s needs and desires within a given space. I believe that first and foremost comes functionality; each space designed has a purpose, and while colors and materials help bring the design to life, they are nothing without functionality. I firmly believe that every space has the power to influence an individual’s mood, so my goal in every design is to create an environment that positively impacts those within it.
Revitalizing the VA Hospital
Akari Hotel

This was a semester-long group project completed for Capstone I. The goal of this project was to take an element of Japanese culture and create a modern boutique hotel inspired by that element. The hotel was to be located within the United States but revolve around authentic Japanese culture, not clichés. Typically completed as a co-lab with Graphic + Media Design, this project involved creating a brand identity, giving us the opportunity to design our own logo.
