Dr. Melody Davis publishes new book

The Department of Art + Design congratulates Dr. Melody Davis’ recent publication of Women’s Views: The Narrative Stereograph in Nineteenth-Century America. The book is the culmination of Dr. Davis’ research on historical narrative stereography and the story it tells about women and gender roles in the 19th century. Illustrated with more than one hundred stereographs and including a three-dimensional viewer, the book will appeal to readers with an interest in U.S. women’s history, the history of photography and visual and cultural studies.
