The Graphic + Media Design (GMD) program at Russell Sage is a nationally recognized B.F.A. program that combines traditional graphic design with media-rich technology. Our students are equally proficient in print production, interactive design, video, animation, and digital imaging. Graduating with a Graphic + Media Design degree gives students the skills, confidence, and business savvy necessary to succeed in the visual communication industry.

The GMD program reflects our vision for the designer of tomorrow: a creative person equally comfortable in graphic design, interactive design, motion design, and image-making. GMD graduates enter the professional world as creative problem solvers and self-reliant critical thinkers, and they get great jobs when they graduate.

GRADUATE SPOTLIGHT

Jami Frosell – Class of 2018

I’ve always loved the saying "If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room.” During my time at Sage, I was in a room surrounded by incredibly talented individuals and faculty that taught me critical design skills. Every class was full of students who truly wanted to be there. I was pushed, challenged, and walked away with valuable skills and a great experience.
